Developing children’s budding spiritual, moral and character is nothing but paramount. Children’s values are highly influenced by their environment; their family and school. For that reason, Masakecil put Spiritual, Moral & Character education as priority.
Masakecil is a community that celebrates differences in religion, race and ethnicities. For us, this makes the beauty of the life itself. For this reason, we provide the children with spiritual education based on their own family’s religion. Currently, we provide Islamic Study and Christian Study for respective believer. We teach them about God, Angels, Prophets, Prayers, Rituals, spiritual values , and other knowledge that they need to know as a budding believer.
Other than Spiritual education, we also teach children about moral and characters on daily basis through many resources such as inspirational story books, movies, and activities. We encourage the conversation about many topic relates to moral and characters. What does it means to be honest.. to be fair.. to be kind.. To protect the weak, amongst the few.
We want children who are not just smart and healthy, but also will develop to be a person with strong spirituality, morally upright and one with virtuous characters.
Montessori Methods is founded by Maria Montessori, a scientist, educator and medical doctor who focuses on child physical and psychological development. For more than 100 years, it’s profound understanding and philosophy on child development have turnaround adults and educators understanding on helping children around the world to be the best they can be.
Dr. Montessori believes that every child was born with their own unique potential, talent and characters that will develop in their due course. The environment where the child lives can support or hinder their development but not create the potentials itself. She also believes that freedom with limits will help children to grow optimally to fulfill their potentials.
At Masakecil Preschool, we embodied this philosophy by striving to be the best environment to help children grow and celebrate all of their beautiful uniqueness. Montessori Method also provide structures and tools for children through education and stimulation in areas of Practical Life Skills, Sensorial Development, Mathematic, Language & Science (Botany, Zoology, Geography, History, Planetary, Cultural).
Here at Masakecil, we understands that thinking skills needs to be developed as early as possible. Children possess enormous thinking capability that adults usually overlook. They are natural born thinker. They asks lots of questions about life around them, and sometimes lost in their wonderful discovery of life itself.
Inquiry based learning is the opposite of conventional education, in which knowledge relies on what is teacher presenting the knowledge she/he knows. On Inquiry Based learning, children are encourage to explore the knowledge beyond the books or facts provided. The children provided the opportunity to explore one topic by asking questions, discuss, solve problems and imagining different scenarios as well as doing projects and experiments.
This way, we nourish children’s growing brain and provide them with the opportunity to develop intelligence, critical thinking, and inquisitive mind. On top of that, Inquiry Learning cultivates teamwork & collaboration, effective communication as well as good characters such as grit, perseverance and focus to one’s objective.
Children development is not whole without a solid curriculum for their physical development. Physical stimulation and exercise help the children to grow and develop optimally. We are really proud to be able to be one of handful of preschool who provides American Baby & Gym Curriculum (Gymboree) for our students.
This curriculum provides wide range stimulation for growing little humans so that they develop physical awareness, agility, move the right way, develop balance and strength.
Our Baby Classroom for Crawlers and Explorers students are designed carefully to provide an inviting yet safe environment for children to experience our wonderful curriculum. Other than that, our physical education also conducted at our lovely garden and dedicated Baby & Children’s Gym to provides variety of environment for the children to do the activities.
