Developing a great foundation for the children’s future

Masakecil started by Ibu Nursita Wulansari, who is usually called by her nick name, Lala Ilhamsyah. At the beginning, Masakecil was a community of mothers who learns about early childhood education together do activities to stimulate their children grow optimally since the very start. The community is growing along with parents’ awareness advancement of the importance of early childhood stimulation.

Following the growth of the Masakecil community, Ibu Lala was aware of the much-needed expertise for childhood development. Hence, to support the community better, she decided to took Montessori Diploma Education for Early Childhood Education. She received Montessori Diploma with Distinction from Modern Montessori International based in London, United Kingdom in Year 2018. At the same year, Masakecil Preschool opened its first center at Kemang Timur.

Then, she took Teacher Certification for Children with Special Needs from CAE Indonesia in Year 2020 and currently she also completing her Finnish Early Childhood Diploma. At the end of 2022, Masakecil Preschool is opening a new chapter at Cibis Park, Cilandak with so many enhancements, which includes facility and the adaptation of Finnish Education Model.

Masakecil founder, partners and the team of teachers and staffs comprised of individuals who are passionate about children and education. They never stop learning about Early Childhood Education and Child Development Psychology, a knowledge that is proven to be valuable in caring and educating the students every day.

Masakecil Philosophy

Research around the world shows that one’s life success, prosperity and even health, is deeply rooted in childhood. Masakecil believes that if parents and school can develop a strong life foundation early in childhood, we can hope for a child to grow optimally and perform well during their school years and adulthood.

A child’s development is a combination between nature and nurture. A child is born with different character and  potential for life, but the key to ensure that they reach the optimum potential lies in the right parenting, care and education.

Masakecil helps parents to raise children by providing stimulations that fit each stage of a child’s development in a truly loving, happy, safe, high quality, healthy environment. This serves as a foundation and scaffolding to help children reach their highest potential in life.

Learning Style

There are five known learning styles that differ from one child to another ie: Auditory, Visual, Kinesthetic, Socio-Emotional and Metacognitive (deep thinking). Each child may have different main and secondary learning style that when combine, creates different learning needs and habit.

A child who have Kinesthetic/Socio-Emotional learning style, for example, will learn differently with a child with Auditory/Visual learning style. A child with kinesthetic/Socio-Emotional learning style need to move a lot and depend on their mood to learn effectively. While Auditory/Visual learner are comfortable learning through pictures, books, videos and listening to their teacher’s explanation about a subject.

The one with metacognitive learning style might ask questions few steps forward from the subject being given by the teacher. They think deep and have the need to immediately discuss on how the knowledge can be applied in life even though the subject is yet to be discuss with the whole class.

At Masakecil Preschool, we respect and celebrates all these differences as children uniqueness . We appreciates all quirks in characters and learning style, and we are here to help them grow and learn in ways that each child’s needs is fulfil to achieve their highest potential.

Immense Potential in Children

Each child is not only unique in characters, but also they are here to fulfill different role in the world. We help them to embrace their own uniqueness while respecting other’s at the same time. In hope to develop a society where people celebrate differences and be thankful for it as God’s gift to all mankind.

We help each child to have a sense of identity since childhood by developing a culture where we celebrate each child strength and uniqueness. We call them ‘Peer-Leader Program’.

For example, Anna may strong in physical education while Billy in language (reading). Through PeerLeader Program, Anna will assist teacher to help his friends in physical education subject. While Billy will
help assist teacher to help her  friends in reading. We believe this will develop sense of identity in children and strengthen their talent even more, while at the same time it also helps children to appreciate and respect each other from the very beginning.

Vision

To be an education institution with great ability to recognize every child’s need and give the best effort and resources to develop a child into a human of faith to the Almighty, who reach all of their potential and understands their true identity to fulfill their role in this life, in hope that they will be a human that benefits the world.

Mission

To provide every child, without any exception of race, religion, gender, or nationality with the high quality education that understands every children’s 
need, with the appreciation of their potential, talent, personality and learning style, in hope that they will develop the love of learning and become a life long learner.

Objective

  1. To be an environment in which the children can grow spiritually, as a human of faith to the Almighty.
  2. To provide a personal learning experience for each student according to their own intellectual needs.
  3. To apply an active innovative, creative, effective and fun learning.
  4. To nurture the love of learning, curiosity and thinking skill in order for the students to be an independent thinker in the future.
  5. Instill student’s independence, responsibility and self discipline as a part of their character development.
  6. To teach the students about respect, care, appreciation, cooperation and collaboration with one another.
  7. To be a safe, comfortable and happy place for the children to spend their childhood, where they learn and grow.
